How a job runs, step by step

  1. OP 10

    Send the drawing

    Email is the best way to start. A CAD file or a hand drawing can open the conversation, and you can call to talk the job through.

  2. OP 20

    Detailed review

    We study the drawing and identify the material, tooling, workholding and fixturing, finish, and inspection needs.

  3. OP 30

    Quote and agreement

    Anticipated tooling and special fixtures are built into the quote. Work starts after you accept the agreed terms.

  4. OP 40

    Preparation

    Tooling and fixtures are obtained or made before machining begins.

  5. OP 50

    Machining with checks

    Parts are inspected after each operation before moving on to the next one.

  6. OP 60

    Communication

    Questions, unclear details, or unexpected requirements are discussed with you directly, including anything that could affect cost.

  7. OP 70

    Final inspection

    Finished parts are checked against the agreed drawing and customer requirements before they leave the shop.

  8. OP 80

    Delivery and follow-through

    Parts are shipped or dropped off locally. We stand behind our work and work with you to resolve any problem under the terms agreed at the start.

Inspection is part of the machining

Every operation is checked before the next one starts, so a problem is caught while it is still small. The finished part is then inspected against the agreed drawing and customer requirements before it is released.

No surprises on cost

Anticipated tooling and special fixturing are built into the quote. If something unexpected comes up during the job, we contact you directly, explain what was found, and talk through the options together before going further.

We stand behind the work

We work directly with you to resolve any problem, under the terms agreed at the start of the job.

Repeat orders

When a repeat job can reuse existing fixtures and tooling, it may reduce setup costs. Ask about planning future orders around your recurring needs.
